RCI Financial Services questions
My RCI Financial Services agreement is paid off. Does it count?
Yes. RCI Financial Services agreements from 6 April 2007 to 1 November 2024 count whether you’ve paid them off or are still paying.
Which cars did RCI Financial Services finance?
RCI Financial Services Limited finances Renault, Nissan, Dacia and Alpine, among others, through dealers across the UK.
Is RCI Financial Services challenging the FCA scheme?
No. The lenders challenging the scheme are CA Auto Finance, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and Volkswagen Financial Services. Payouts under the scheme are paused for every lender until the challenges are decided, after the hearing from 16 February to 3 March 2027.
I’ve had a letter from RCI Financial Services. What does it mean?
Under the scheme, lenders have to tell people who have already complained whether they’re owed compensation: by 18 November 2026 for agreements from 1 April 2014 complained about by 30 June 2026, and by 18 January 2027 for older agreements complained about by 31 August 2026. If you’re told you’re not owed and you disagree, you can ask the lender to look again, then go to the Financial Ombudsman.
